Event Crew
During my University days I did various part-time jobs to put tins of beans in the cupboard of my bedsit. In term time I`d try to fit the work around my lectures but come the summer and I could work any hours that I liked. One of the most enjoyable jobs that I had over the summer months was working as a labourer for an Event Crew firm. The team I worked for employed various kinds of Event Crew from riggers to lighting experts. Organisers would call the company with their specific requirements and we`d send staff over as per their request. Sometimes they`d only need additional drivers and in other instances a huge taskforce would be needed that could construct or break down a wide range of large events. It was fun working as a labourer for the Event Crew firm but it was also extremely hard graft. You`d be workking come rain or shine and have to lift heavy equipment on a regular basis. I think I lost a stone and half during the summer when I worked for the Event Crew team. Still, it gave me a great insight into the world of stage construction and my utmost respect goes out to the people who still work in this industry.

Revit Families
My friend works as a lecturer and trainer on computer aided design and, as such, she trains many architects, designers and engineers on how to improve their designs. One of the more recent technologies to emerge is that of Revit Families. These Revit Families make it much easier to design and, as such, she has a great deal of people wanting training on them. In fact, she is so busy with people asking for help with Revit Families that she haas had to employ more staff to deal with the training. This is a really happy situation for her to be in, particularly in the present economic climate and she is really thankful for all the extra work. Last week, she had a training seminar and the room was so packed there were not enough computers for everyone to work on. She realises that she needs to make some changes in order to make sure that situations like this do not happen again. She will be the first to admit that if you do not project the right image in a business then you may ultimately lose a lot since first impressions really do count. With this in mind she is making a few investments to improve the appearance of her training. She does not need to worry about the content as that is already tip top.
